If both quackcinated and unquackcinated can test +ve on a PCR then we can we conclude that the genetic fragment does not cause disease by itself. This is a validation of terrain theory. How do we know they are fragments of a "virus"? How do we know that the body did not produce these fragments itself?

The Chinese data would certainly seem to confirm this analysis, though one might add that for people without any history of infection, using a high cycle threshold may indeed be a way to detect new infections at a very early stage. At least until early December when mass testing was abandoned, China used a threshold of 40 for such cases. Within 1-2 days test results will usually quickly start yielding results in the 20-30 range, but the quick progression from, say, 37 to 27 seems to be a consistent pattern.

By contrast, as hinted at in this article, cycle levels over 30 resulting from the testing of recovering people with ACTIVE infections probably cannot be reliably used a criterion for continued infectiousness.
